After-School Arrangements: For those children who usually walk home from school independently (Year 5 and 6 pupils- with written permission): if your child is staying after school for any club – e.g. Choir, which finishes at 4.00pm – a parent/guardian MUST collect them from the reception area, or arrangements must be in place for them to attend an after- school club. Children are not permitted to walk home independently after a club. The permission for Year 5 and 6 pupils to walk home from school (with prior consent) only applies at the end of the normal school day, at 3.15pm. At this time of year, it gets dark very quickly. A number of parents have contacted school to say that they have not received the link here for the Year 3 and 4 clubs on a Thursday afterschool. This is a great annual fundraising activity by the Parent and Teacher Association – thank you for your support.
