Download the following Letters: This is a note to confirm arrangements for this Friday, July 11th. Morning – Farewell Service. Time: Service starts at 9:30am (doors will open at 9:00am and refreshments available). Location: School hall. Dress: Clothes suitable for their performance (e.g. rugby kit if they are presenting about rugby), or normal school uniform. We have already discussed this with the children. Afternoon – Water games afternoon. BL5 and 6 children will have the opportunity to enjoy a water games afternoon this Friday, July 11th, as part of our end of term celebrations. It will be an opportunity for the children to play games, do activities with water and have fun. Children will also need a towel and spare clothes to change into after the activities. Remember a hat and sun cream. Important note: The children do not need to bring any water pistols or similar equipment - the teachers will provide everything they need. The Year 5 rugby session has changed to Thursday instead of Friday this week. The children can come to school in PE kit ready for the session. Only children from Year 5 will take part in the session. Free Violin Taster Sessions: We would like to offer the opportunity for a free short violin taster session to anyone who would like it next week on Monday the 14th July. If your child is interested, please could you respond to this email. I will then do my best to give the session to everyone on the list, depending on how many names there are and within time constraints. I hope it would be ok to put a few photos of some on DMC social media facebook page too and if there are parents objecting to this, please but a "no social media" next to the name. Thank you to all who have paid and sent their forms into school for our trip on Thursday to the Urdd in Glanllyn. We need to confirm numbers by 9am tomorrow morning. Could you ensure that the amount is paid and that the consent form has been sent into school. Ensure that you have chosen the lunch option on the link above. We're really looking forward to our day. The children need to be in school for 8:15am. Newsletter 4/7/25 Attendance Letter 3/7/25 Under 7’s Unit: In order to bring our 'Under the sea’ theme to an end, we will organise:- Monday, July 14th- A Pirates picnic on the field. Euros 2025 watch party Year 5 and 6 pupils will be taking part in ‘Growing Up’ lessons as part of the Relationships and Sexuality Education curriculum during the week beginning 14th July. These sessions will cover the physical and emotional changes that happen during puberty, including an explanation of menstruation. All pupils will receive the same information, but the sessions will be delivered in separate groups for girls and boys. If you would like to discuss any aspect of these lessons with the teachers, please feel free to contact the school to arrange a conversation. Earlier this term, pupils in Years 2,3,4,5,6 undertook personalised assessments in literacy and numeracy. Parents may access their child’s results via their child’s HWB account, which can be found on their class passport. Attached, is a step by step guide on how to download the results. Also attached is a WAG document on how to analyse the data. Please remember, these results are only one method of a wide range of assessment tools we use to track pupil progress. As a school we take a holistic approach and look at pupil progress over time. It is important to consider a wide range of data sources.
