Changes to the After-School Clubs Schedule This Half Term:
The After School Football Club will not be running for the next
4 weeks on Thursday afternoons. This is due to the weather
and the fact that it is getting dark very early. We will look to
resume the sports club in the New Year.
•
After-School Arrangements: For those children who usually
walk home from school independently (Year 5 and 6 pupils-
with written permission): if your child is staying after school for
any club – e.g. Choir, which finishes at 4.00pm – a
parent/guardian MUST collect them from the reception area,
or arrangements must be in place for them to attend an after-
school club. Children are not permitted to walk home
independently after a club. The permission for Year 5 and 6
pupils to walk home from school (with prior consent) only
applies at the end of the normal school day, at 3.15pm. At this
time of year, it gets dark very quickly. A number of parents
have contacted school to say that they have not received the
link here for the Year 3 and 4 clubs on a Thursday afterschool.
This is a great annual fundraising activity by the Parent and
Teacher Association – thank you for your support.

On Thursday, 27th of November, year 5 and 6 children will be
having a sales day in order to sell the products of their
different businesses to all the children in the school. Any
profits will go towards the cost of buying new reading books.
We want to prepare everything at school, but some groups
have mentioned that they need equipment from home for the
day. Please see what equipment your child will need, so that
they can bring the equipment with them to school on
Wednesday, 26th November.

Yr. 2 have been invited to sing at the Hill and Roberts Coffee
morning ( weather permitting) next Friday Morning, November
28th at 10 in the morning. It will take place in the old Court
house on the square. Feel free to come and join us and
support the coffee morning in aid of St. Kentigerns.

The Eco Council is organising a sale of second-hand goods on
Friday, 14th November. This is your chance to clear the house
ready for Christmas, and all this for a good cause!
We kindly ask that you give:
Any old toys, miniature cars, miniature dolls, any size is great!
Books you no longer read
Old cards or magazines.
Bring the goods to the box at the school's main entrance, or
you are welcome to send any goods with your child to school.
Our intention is to re-sell these toys and books on Children in
Need day. The profits will go towards the charity, and give a
second life to some toys rather than buying new things. Any
surplus goods will be donated to local charity shops.
